Eid is coming up. That’s quite a happy event marking the end of the Ramzan. For that the teachers from the schools came to our office – they got some presents for this. It’s quite like Christmas. I was supposed to be the friendly lady that hands over the presents – together with Anne from England. Funny was, that I just did not have a clue of what was going on… what I was supposed to do. So I was sitting in the front… smiling helplessly to the teachers. Afterwards I was told that I looked like a little Angle ?!? (Can you imagine that?!?) handing over these gifts!!!

Being in the school still feels great, although the students in the school get quite funny with me. I wanted to make them reading poems that they wrote on their own… just in one class. There were these quiet students that were a little bit afraid. So I said “ohhh please –come on” (like in AIESEC conferences). Lucky as I am, I got support from the whole class. That somehow was working and finally these shy girls started to read. Suddenly they wanted me to do some funny stuff as well - I started doing Icebreakers with them, still not sure if that was a good idea, they love those! … Anyhow, this “ohh please” is now going around the school whenever the girls want me to do something (Icebreakers ?!?) with them. It can get loud and besides that quite difficult to leave a class room without doing something funny…
