Amazing – helping hands in Pakistan after the earth quake

The last days, everything around my organization was dealing with the earthquake. Meetings, organization of fund collections, coordination, phone calls...everybody in a hurry.
I was amazed by the help people are giving to those that are victims of the earthquake. It feels as if everybody is trying to give his very best to build up the destroyed areas again. Everybody gives something… money, food, medicine, clothes and of course prayers.
In my organization they started to collect funds in the school. And this of course makes a huge change… in my school they did collect so much things!!! Thinking about the fact that there are 180 schools, 100.000 students - it definitely makes a difference. I am so proud of all these little children and their families that share what they have…this help is just amazing. They give their little pocket money to support and contribute. CARE, like many other organizations, build up a camp in the destroyed areas, they make plans and want to support the affected areas in building up homes and schools again.
Driving around the streets in Lahore, there are many, many stations to collect funds.
It makes me think… what can I do? What can we all do? I realize the power we have, the many things we can do! There is so much we can change- let’s just start!
